This month saw 7 registered pilots (a huge jump from the 3 we had last month!) : Mike McLaughlin, Andrew Smith, Robert Sanderson, Johnny Turner, Russ Green, Frits Jetten and Rob Baker. Also a special thanks to Amber and Randy for keeping time!

Round 1:
The first round started right on time and most everyone was able to get airborne on time. The fighting was fast and furious with 7 planes in the air. Everyone was staying in a pretty tight ball just east of the runway. Amazingly the first round did not see any mid-airs. The round ended with Mike the big winner with an amazing 5 cuts.

Round 2:
The second round started shortly after everyone refueled and got a new streamer. The dogfighting resumed just as intensely as before. Everyone was looping and rolling in the tightest swarm I have seen trying to get a cut. Streamers were being cut left and right when all ofa sudden, WHACK! Andrew and Johnny slammed into each other. Andrew spun around in the air, but amazingly was still able to fly! Johnny was even less affected and continued after just a slight wobble. The round ended with Johnny Turner the winner with 3 cuts and one mid air.

Round 3:

Round three started with only 6 planes and with one small change, Rob was now flying Frits' plane the Doom. Apparently Rob had some damage during landing in the second round that disabled his plane, and Frits wanted to take some photos, so he let Rob fly the Doom. All pilots got right back into the groove and began tearing up the sky. Everyone was tied with one cut a piece when WHACK! Andrew and Mike slammed into each other! Mike luckily made it through without any damage. Andrew however was not so lucky, his Aileron was ripped off during the collision and was left dangling off his plane as he spun into the ground. The round ended with everyone getting one cut.

Final Results:
Mike McLaughlin wins the February round of Combat with 12 points, Congrats to Mike.
