-Combat Report-Sunday 12-17-06R/C Combat Sunday December 17th was a good one. There were 8 pilots. Tony Farmer, Alvin Reed, David Lanzo, Mike McLaughlin, Steve Drake, Mike Callen, Frits Jetten, and Andrew Smith. Andrew started the "CARNAGE " by taking out Mike McLaughlin with a midair, Mike's plain is a total loss. Andrew survived, and then went on to take out David Lanzo, David’s plane is a total loss as was Andrew’s. Frits had a problem of some kind and crashed. Frits thought he was through for the day, but with a the help from club president Andy Anderson they were able to repair the plain for the next round. Round 2. Mike Callen had engine trouble, and Frits also had a problem, I don’t remember if they crashed? (I have CRS real bad) Round 3. Alvin took out Steve in a midair, Steve’s plain was a total loss, Alvin survived with wing damage and lost landing gear. There was a lot of excitement, with planes and streamers falling from the sky in each round. There was a BIG pile of rubble at the end of the day. It was kind of sad to see all those broken planes in that pile. Every plane suffered some damage, with Tony Farmer’s plane having the least amount with a broken aileron connection. (And that reminds me) Alvin and Tony flew the last round with only one aileron working. Good flying guys!!! Frits took some pictures and I hope he will put them in the pits report. Also thanks to Jeff Foster for posting some pictures on the forum. When it was all over, Alvin Reed, with a total of 8 points, for finishing each round, cutting streamers, and surviving midair’s, was the winner, with Tony Farmer second with 5 points… I am sure I have forgotten something here. So guys, jump on in.. I hope all this destruction won’t keep you guys out of combat.. Next Combat January 21st 2007 Don......... |
